The Booster Car Seat
A booster car seat is specially designed for big children. It is usually applied for children ages 4 to 6. This kind of car seat raises the child to that it levels with the car's usual seat belt. The car's seat belt actually holds both the booster car seat and the child itself.
Here are some important tips and guidelines in installing the booster car seat. First; make sure that the seat belt is fastened firmly to the booster seat. Second; make sure that the seat belt is placed above the child's pelvic region and not in the stomach. Third; the booster car seat's diagonal strap should be placed above the child's shoulder and not in the neck.
When a child reaches 6 years old, he or she can now use a different kind of booster car seat a backless booster seat. This kind of car seat is very similar to a regular booster but it does not have any backrest attached. When using the backless booster seat, it is a must that the child should sit up straight. This will locked the seatbelt's diagonal strap to your child's shoulder.
